I have used WinVNC's java browser to access my computer at home from
different computers at work and miscellaneous places. I use it to check my
email, see if anyone has IM'd me, etc. and sometimes I use it when I need
files or something from my home PC. Would Windows XP's Remote Desktop work
better for my needs? I never understood how it really worked or how to
access my computer from a random computer not on the network or if that was
possible. The main things missing from VNC are that it's slow to refresh,
etc. and I can't transfer files easily (I email them to myself then check
email on the remote computer or send them through AIM). So I'd appreciate
someone to explain XP's remote access to me whether it is good for me or not
and if there is a way to use VNC to transfer files. I heard that UltraVNC
does this and I don't need RealVNC's compatibility with Linux/Unix/etc. b/c
I ONLY use Windows computers to access my computer but I also don't know if
UltraVNC would be a good change as I finally have RealVNC working through
the firewalls and stuff and know how to use it.

Thanks in advance!
