Hello,

I've been running V4B4 on most of my machines for quite
awhile with no problems, when V5b5 came out I updated most of them to
that, and then updated when the V4 release came out. It's working fine
on all machines except one. This machine a new 2.8ghz p4 HT box running
XP home. Whenever I use vncviewer from that machine to take over a
machine (so far, I've tested by taking over two different boxes, one
running W2k Pro, one running XP pro, both running VNC V4 release), the
mouse on the controlled machine begins to act strangely. Usually I can
select objects on the desktop, and I can right-click the desktop to get
the context menu, but I can't click on any windows or the start button,
they just act as if no click had taken place. Sometimes after trying to
click on a windows or the start button I can't even click on the desktop
any longer. If I close vncviewer and go use the mouse on the previously
controlled machine, it has the same behavior. Stopping or bouncing the
WINVNC4 service usually restores normal mouse function.

On the XP Home machine having this problem, I've tried
reinstalling the V4 release, that didn't change anything, so I
uninstalled VNC, deleted the registry key HKLM\Software\RealVNC,
rebooted and reinstalled, same results.

The w2k pro machine and the XP pro machine can control each
other (and other machines) with no problems.

Does anyone have any ideas???? Alternatively, is there anyplace I can
still download V4b4 or V4b5 to try one of those again?
