in /etc/init.d, run chkconfig --add vncserver

Or you can simple create link in /etc/rc[1-6].d folder with S or K.

mi situation is that when trien to execute :
update-rc.d vncstart defaults 99

it cant be executed Zach Dennis metion to use the :
chkconfig

can any one help on how to do this i tried :

chkconfig --level 99 vncstart on

and it dosent work.

Do you have a script in /etc/init.d called vncserver? You can modify from there.

I am a new to this mi situation is this.

I have a REDHAT9 Box , i have install VNC , my problem is trieng to
startup
vncserver on linux boot up.

Mi vncserver is install int : /usr/local/bin

I have tried several scripts but with no succes , can you please help on a
procedure to do this or
do you now a good scrip that works for RH9 with this tipe of instalation.
