switch back to vnc 3.7 , the scaling feature on that works just as you
described and never gave me any problems whatsoever

Subject: Desktop Resize

I have noticed several discussions about desktop resizing and was wondering
if any new thought has
been placed into this.

What I am interested in is NOT changing the resolution, but rather just
resizing the virtual
desktop on the viewer end of the connection. For instance if my server is at
a resolution of
1600x1200 and my client is at 1024x768, it would be nice to be able to tell
the viewer to just
"scale" the incoming desktop to 1024x768. This is something that Radmin
(http://www.radmin.com)
does very nicely, and doesn't seem to slow down performance at all. This
would also be especially
nice in the Java viewer, since it doesn't support full screen mode, and
hence doesn't follow the
mouse as you move off the screen.

Thank you!
