I've seen it work on wireless systems before, but it will vary. Note that the manufacturer's response here: > After contacting the modem manufacturer, we received their suggestion, > that this is a problem of "RX TX turnaround time of the modem being > incompatible with the application". translates into "the modem is too slow". It takes so long translating received and transmitted data that you get problems. This is sometimes OK with a large enough data pipe overall, but wireless dialup suffers from low bandwidth on top of the retransmits and direct lag in normal wireless. > Does anyone know what this means / how this can influence the link of a > remote control sw? Shouldn't this be transparent as long as one uses an > IP connection? Depends on the underlying quality of the connection. Eventually, something in the stack has to say "this is taking too long." _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
