Using Sun's JRE 1.4.2_05 (java plugin) on Windows XP Pro, and RealVNC 4.0 or 3.3.7, the tab key isn't sent to the vnc server machine when using the applet VNC client.

This happens in both Mozilla Firefox and IE6 (with Sun java plugin). I haven't checked MS JVM, because that's dead now anyway.
With the 3.3.7 version of the applet viewer, the tab key moves focus between the buttons across the top (Disconnect, Options, etc). With the 4.0 version of the applet viewer, it appears to simply be ignored, I can't tell where the event is going.

Does anyone have a workaround for this, or know of a competing VNC server's applet viewer implementation that has this problem solved? This is a pretty big deal to me, unfortunately. I'm aware that I can use the native viewer, but I'm specifically interested in getting the applet viewer working.

Thanks,
Roland
