I'm confused - you say below that "I can connect by WiFi using another PC to
the XP machine using VNC 4 which would further imply that port 5900 is not
being used by anyone else".  But earlier you said that you couldn't connect
to the server.

Are you actually saying that VNC 4 server works from all viewers except the
CE one?
