Hey Ian,

Are you using a router? If so, check it for Dynamic DNS support. Most
routers have it built in now.

The best program I've found is DeeEnEs.

If it's any indication, I installed it on three computers over 1.5 years ago
and have never had to fool with it since. In fact, just to get you the name
of it now, I had to remote access one of the computers that it was installed
on because it's been so long since I've looked at it.

Ps. Thanks for reminding me that I had some updates to take care of on
these three computers. I was planning on going to bed, but nooooo, you had
to bring up DeeEnEs. <smile>

Hi Folks,

I use a DynDNS account to keep the same address for my server at home; I
have tried a number of products to keep the ip updated without much success.

Can I ask which freeware programs have you folks found to be the best?

Best regards,

Ian
