Eric,

What is the difference between:

1. configuring a DNS C-name to redirect a "mnemonic" name to host name
2. having a "friendly name" mnemonic for each host name in VNC Viewer
3. using .vnc file for each host as a mnemonic for the host name
4. configuring hosts to redirect mnemonic to host name

Aside from the storing of configuration options by (3), they all
fundamentally involve creating a mapping from a friendly, mnemonic name for
each machine to the corresponding "real" name/address of that machine.
