Check the Windows XP firewall for error messages. You probably need to
permit port 5800 in the XP firewall as well. Unless you disabled the XP
firewall, you now have two software firewalls running on your PC there.

Subject: Problems with java viewer

I am running Windows XP Home SP2 with Norton Internet Security 2004.
I installed the latest version of RealVNC. I have been trying to get
the java viewer to work, but when I try to access it I get an error
that the server cannot be found. I thought I did everything I needed
in my router to enable the port. The client works fine to port 5900.
I tried settings up a rule in NIS to allow HTTP port 5800 but that did
not work. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any help would be
appreciated.

Mike
