First:
if you can, it would be better to send in plain, ascii text to the list...
less chance of viruses, and other "hostile" content being mistaken for a
legit message... Just a suggestion.

Second:
A) You either don't have VNC Server running on any machine in your LAN or
B)You still don't have port forwarding set up correctly. Those are pretty
much the only two options. Do you have any firewall software on your PC? If
so, try disabling that temporarily and visit gotomyvnc.com. Also, make sure
you have the VNC icon in your system tray... at the very least try
(re)starting the VNC service. If it pops up with an error that "another
instance of VNC is already running" (or words to that effect) then, you know
you have VNC service running correctly and that a port-forwarding issue is
most likely the culprit.

Subject: RE: Once Again - Router Questions

Thanks to those who replied about my setup questions...

I think I forwarded my linksys WRT54G router to proper ports with the help
of a list serv-ite...Doyal McVicker...thanks Doyal

HOWEVER: it sttill won't connect outside my LAN...from home to the office.

1. I tried the "gotomyvnc.com" but it says it is not recognized on any
display.

2. I go to whatsmyipaddress.com and it gives me an IP address oof
69.53.34.219...and this is what the gotomyvnc.com uses as well

What's the deal?...this is terribly frustrating...
