No, that shouldn't kill the SSH daemon, only maybe allow your router to
"hang up" the call to your DSL provider.

would that make the SSH server die - not having the keepalive option set?
if i were at home and tried to SSH (using putty or psftp) i would get the
same errors from another computer on my home LAN.  if i went into services
and tried to stop/start openssh, i would get some error.  if i rebooted the
machine all would be well...for a while.  the server and the DSL router are
both up though, b/c i can still get to the webserver using a browser.  just
can't SSH until the system is rebooted.  i don't like this unstability of
openssh...
