Are you using the correct IP? When you are controlling it over the internet you need to use its actual internet IP address try an IP reflector to find out.
Additionally, even with firewalling disabled the router still wont let you connect picture this: -----x.x.x.x:5900-------->(Internet)---------->[Router]?????? how does the router know which computer to send this to? It doesn't if you set up port forwarding in the router you give the router a table like this: Incoming Traffic Is: Route to: 5900 192.168.0.2 now you have this -----x.x.x.x:5900-------->(Internet)---------->[Router]------->192.168.0.2 --Angelo p.s.
