I guess there's not much knowledge out there regarding Xvnc dumping core with SEGV. Futher to the info on my previous posting, even running Eclipse within Xnest causes Xvnc to crash. As this is problem that affects the fundamental viability of VNC, I was hoping for some willingness to get to the bottom of it. Alas. Now I've resorted to using Cygwin/X (highly recommended) for eclipse which appears to be quite stable (fingers crossed). It's a pity that VNC can't handle Eclipse (and other graphically intensive apps?) as that would be my preferred solution. I still use VNC, but only for simpler apps. Maybe it's best that way.
