I installed vnc 4.0 (Gentoo Linux) and it said it had
the ability for a machine to connect to it using a web
browser on port 580* (* being the X screen it was
initalized). I can get it working on port 590* but not
580*. Anyone manage to get it working, and was there
anything special you did? All I did was just type
vncserver at prompt and get this message:
xauth: (argv):1: bad display name "linux-comp:1" in
"add" command
New 'linux-comp:1 (mark)' desktop is linux-comp:1
Starting applications specified in
/home/mark/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /home/mark/.vnc/linux-comp:1.log
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
