Hi,

I'm running Fedora Core 3 on the server/remote - let call this machine A. I
vnc'ed to machine A from machine B (which is running I think slackware).
Vncviewer connected properly and the mouse works, I can run programs and close
them, etc. The server and the viewer are NOT running in "view only" mode. If I
press a key in machine B, nothing is diaplayed on machine A. But I can see some
key event is occuring because the cursor kinda blinks. So I run xev by
copy-pasting with mouse individual letters from text in some random files. Then
I press a key and xev prints some Key event but doesn't print what key was
pressed (like it does when I execute xev locally in machine A). Xev prints the
same text (from what I can notice) for any keypress send thru VNC.

It gets more interesting now. So I go to machine A (home) and vnc to machine B
and then vnc back from machine B to machine A, that is,
A:0 --> B:1 --> A:1. Now if I press some key in display A:0, it comes out fine
in A:1 after it passes thru B:1. I made some changes to x.org Section
"InputDevice" to add support to special keys in my logitech keyboard.

I changed the line:
        Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
to
        Option "XkbModel" "logielite"

I even set the line back to pc105 and restarted the X server and tried vnc form
machine B to machine A -- didn't help.

Some one please help me. I use VNC a lot and I can't afford to not have it.
Thanks a lot in advance.

-Sarav
