sorry to admit that i dont run a current release so that
is already built in?

jes. thats exactly what i m doing in two steps with what
i fire from webserver.

i agree that its a dirty workaround for a person that
wants to switch between the remote control technologys
very quickly like controlling a mediaplayer on a tv set
via vnc while sitting on a desk but then running to the
toilet and having to ajust the volume via a terminal
client on a mobile phone... ;)

for the question wheather the whole style is unsatisfying
i wound reply with the answer for the question why somebody
should at all have the stupid idea to run and use both vnc
server and terminal server simultaneously.

in my house live a couple of friends, they can use the
central machine with lower priviliges for like burning
dvds, listening to music, sending a fax or whatever
via their own desktops connections. so they can use
a ts session while i m not logged in and are to
logoff themselves when they have finished but i can always
join them from wherever i am on their desktops and keep
control over what they do via vnc. and with this
workaround i can logg them off in any situation so
this style exactly meets my needs. i can imagine
that many people that run this hybrid control have
similar purposes.

so what you are heading for is the possibility to
disconnect from a ts session and make the same session
respond and talk to a vnc connection again even
without a connected rd client hmmmm that would be
cool too... :)

and again
into the fog
