I was connected to my mothers PC over the Internet and needed to change the clock. As soon as I selected apply I was booted off. I have not been able to connect since.
I just bought this PC for her and am working on her PC long distance. She is in Ohio, I am in North Carolina. What specifically would I need to do to insure that I have administrator privileges to her machine? She has Verizon DSL, using a Linksys Wireless B router. The router is not broadcasting, she is hardwired. The PC is a Dell with Windows XP home (SP2). I have turned off the firewall, and the router has ports open from 5800 - 5900, although I plan to change this to 5900 only. Her IP address is kept current via DynDNS, so I know I have the correct IP. What could cause this and how can this be avoided? Thank you. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
