Try this -- reconfigure the router and the machines so that port 5900 goes
to machine a's port 5900. Port 5901 goes to machine B's port 5900, etc. See
if that works better.

Subject: RE: Problem with linksys router

The router looks like this - port 5900 to boxA ip address.
Box A VNC server is accepting connections on port 5900.

Box B is same with 5901, box C with 5902

I am using the gotomyvnc.com website to check the displays for connection.
Port 5901 (display 1) works no matter which computer it is forwarded to, ie.
I've switched the forwarding on the router for 5901 to point to 2 different
boxes and display 1 always works no matter where it is pointing. None of the
other displays work. I am new to VNC - maybe you have some more insight?

Thanks for your help!

My bad - typo on my part. I'm more curious to know if it looks like this:

    R5900 -> boxA:5900

    R5901 -> boxB:5900

    R5902 -> boxC:5900
or this:

    R5900 -> boxA:5900

    R5901 -> boxB:5901

    R5902 -> boxC:5902

One small correction. The default port is 5900. 5800 is for the Java client.

I assume you're doing this to access 3 different hosts behind the

router, as in:

    R5900 -> boxA:5800

    R5901 -> boxB:5800

    R5902 -> boxC:5800

Is this correct? Also, are all 3 boxes Windows?

I am using the VNC 4 Enterprise Edition, going through a Linksys Router. I

have 3 ports opened up on the router: 5900, 5901, and 5902, but 5901 is the

only one that is working with VNC. Any suggestions?
