I am a new user, planning to run the program on a boat, with a remote
handheld viewer in the cockpit, and a laptop running inthe cabin.
Waiting for the hand held to arrive, I am expeimenting with a desktop
as the viewer, and the laptop as the server
I am using free version of vnc4, xp home on viewer, and XP pro on
server. A chart-drawing
application on server is running in 256 colours, using
compatibility mode
set in windows.
The server shows normal colours, but the viewer screen is in
bright reddish, difficult to read colours.
Everything else seems to work fine. What can I do to improve
matters?
