Hi!

I have the a (seemingly not unusual) refresh problem: Parts of the
window do not appear until I move over them with the mouse or manually
refresh the screen.

I use the vnc module vor xfree86 under debian sarge
(vnc4server 4.0-7) and realvncclient 4.0 under Windows XP.

This problem occurs often with KDE applications (e.g. always on the KDE
splash screen, and often on the last line of a konsole window when
shifting between different tabs).

Is there any setting I can change to improve this? (I tried changing the
deferUpdate and CompareFB options, but this didn't help). I do have
quite fast computers and connection, so I think I would be happy if I
could just activate an automatic "refresh screen" 4 times per second or
so.

In the worst case I could try to patch the (Windows viewer) source code
to add such an autoamtic refresh, I suppose (although I do not use
Microsoft Visual C++ and do not want to waste a week trying to compile
the whole thing under gcc...) Does anybody know where would be the
canonical place to add such a refresh?

Thanks,
Jakob
