I got it working now, it didn't like the 2560x1600 resolution of my display so when I downscaled the screen to 800x600, I was able to establish a VNC connection to OSXvnc.

I also got it working against FreeVNC server if I restricted the colours to 8-bit and the WinXP is running at 800x600 (the display was 1600x1200). With full colour the client crashes, though.

Both have a performance problem, though. It takes 3-5 seconds for a menu to appear and you cannot basicly do anything useful through the session. In theory the Airpanel should have the performance for basic use, at least the Remote Desktop Client works reasonably well, but I'd prefer to running something else and not be stuck with Windows..

There is an interesting VNC client library at http://cdot.senecac.on.ca/projects/vncsharp/
Has anyone tried to use it with Windows CE.net? Or does anyone have the required tools to try to compile one for me? (Thank you in advance ;-) I don't have any windows development tools around..

I believe the airpanel device you are describing is handheld device

There is not a release from Realvnc that runs on this as far as I
know. BUt searching around for VNC on CE.net should give you some
ideas. I'm sure someone has a viewer avaiable for this os

Try:
http://www.conduits.com/products/apps/vnc.asp

Or if you can get a java runtime installed on it you can just use the
java version of the viewer by connecting to http://192.168.X.Y:5800 on
the airpanel.

Good Luck, Angelo
