Try allowing VNC in the XP Firewall. Also, disable Fast User Switching
(otoh, IIRC, RealVNC 4 is supposed to have a work-around built-in to let you
connect after FUS.) which version of VNC are you using?

Subject: VNC Keyboard / Mouse Non-Responsive
Hi,
I have recently re-formated my two windows XP machines ( with service pack
2
) and am trying to get VNC going again. It worked perfect before but now it
doesn't seem to work.
When I log into the server I connect and can see the screen but my
keyboard / mouse actions don't do anything and the screen looks kind of
faded.
Also , the mouse pointer is a tiny square.
The next time I connect the screen is black and again my mouse/keyboard
do
nothing . Any ideas ??
Thanks
Arvin
