Please help me configure VNC.
I was running the old 3.3 version on a win2000pro
machine. And it worked.
All I changed was I upgraded my motherboard and
processor and now it doesnt.

When I use to hold my pointer over the vnc icon it
would show my external ip address.
Now it show this computers address on my LAN

Ive read the manual, and a lot of the list archives
but not getting anywhere.
So I got the new VNC hoping it would show more options
for configuring it but I still dont know what Im
doing.

This is how everything is plugged insomeone out there
has to have a setup like mine.
Cable come in and goes to my modem.
Modem runs to Gnatbox firewall.
Firewall to hub
Hub to 3 PCs (mother, father, daughter)

I can connect to the PC running the VNC service from
my other local PCs if I use the LAN IP.

How do I change the IP of the service back to my
external IP so I can connect to it from a computer
outside of the house, like I did in the past?

_

Vnc connects to all network adaptor that you have, including serial or
usb modems. If cant connect externally:

1- you have to open the 5900 port in the firewall/s.

2- you have to NAT (port forward) the port from modem/router to your PC

Perhaps with changes your internal IP have changed then you have to
remake the nat to the new IP or changes the ip of PC, at propertys in
network adapter.
