Hi Joe,
Your girlfriend in Moscow will need to install the server side of the program. It will help if she has a routable IP address. If not do you have a static or routable address? If the answer is yes you should not have any problems.
You will need the viewer. Or you can use the java applet.
Assuming that your girlfriend has a static IP and has installed the server and it is up and running you will need to either load the viewer and put in the IP address for your girlfriend or use a browser and browse to your girlfriends address. (example http:// w.x.y.z:5800 the w,x,y,z are the octet numbers of the IP address.)

Now if the girlfriend does not have a static IP or routable address she can load the server and use "Add New Client" and connect to your machine if you are running a listening viewer.

I have been using VNC for a while helping a friend that is about 3,000 miles away.

I hope this helps you,

Doyal McVicker
