Rex:
The developers of RealVNC make the source code available to everyone in the
same form: A tarball. That, to my reading at least, fits the description of
"Accompany it with the complete corresponding machine-readable
source code". It's machine readable, and it's source code. To me, "The
source code for a work means the preferred form of the work for making
modifications to it" means a tarball, as you can't easily make changes to a
piece of software by using an SRPM.

Who said anything about "tarball" of the source?

Only the "preferred" form of the source.

They are required to provide source to *exactly* the same people
they provide/distribute binaries. In the case of commercial only apps,
you are correct.
