I am still plagues by the "Connection reset by peer" error message, which pops up almost whenever I connect to my Unix host (and I don't think I've ever seen it connecting to a Windows host). I get the message whichever viewer I'm using.
I almost always get the error message if I leave the vnc connection idle for a while. If I'm using a slow connection, and I leave the connection idle for even 30 seconds, I'm likely to get the error message. The auto-reconnect feature is helpful in dealing with this, but isn't there some way to avoid it?
