Bryan, You mention dragging a window "from one physical screen to another" within an Xvnc session. Since Xvnc doesn't have a physical screen, I'm afraid I don't know what you mean. If you aren't changing the version of Xvnc in which the apps are running (i.e. you're running 3.3.7 consistently, and viewing it with different viewers) then the problem is clearly not related to handling of expose events.
