FIXED! I killed the ssh session that was using port 5901, shut down my VNC
session and restarted it using my script and it opened on :1 this time!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I never would have thought
that sshd would keep me from starting VNC! :-)

The output shows that process 6499 is using port 5901. What does ps 6499
show?
