Hey all.. I'm new to the list, and I did a search for my current issue, but came up with results from 1998. I'm hoping something has changed since then so I'll pose my issue here. I'm running Gentoo 2.4 on a dual 2.4GHz Xeon machine with 4GB RAM. I emerged vnc, so the most recent in portage is 3.3.7.
I have several other machines running this same setup, so it's not entirely new to me, but this is a new issue. I run the machine headless and install vnc to run vmware workstation. I installed firefox to see if this issue was isolated to vmware, but it appears to be any GUI I run under Xvnc. It works long enough to launch applications, but when I try to use them, they hang and eventually Xvnc crashes. I'd appreciate any advice on what else to look at to hunt down my issue, or if there is a known workaround. Thanks!
