Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. I use RealVNC 4.1.1 (Linux) to connect to work (Windows 2000) over VPN (Contivity client) with Fedora Core 4. Often, if my VNC window is the active window in full-screen mode, and I leave the computer for a few minutes, then come back, my mouse cursor completely disappears. F8 will show the menu but it will not respond to the menu, though my Win2000 session does respond to the keyboard.

With the mouse cursor gone, I drop out to a virtual console where I have to completely kill X to resolve the issue. Killing only the VNC viewer process has the effect of completely disabling the keyboard on my local machine (e.g. can't switch from workspace to workspace) and the mouse cursor does not come back. Hence, I kill X where the process begins again. I've disabled the screensaver on my local box to no avail. It is very strange since it seems to happen only when I am idle. Any thoughts??

Thanks,
-Steve
