Hi. I'm trying the 4.1.7 versisn of VNC
I have 2 computers in a LAN, all behind a ADSL router with dinamic IP. First fo all, i've tried to install a server un one computer and a client in the other, with good results. I can conect the viewer to the server, and conect the server to the listening viewer too. Well, my problem comes when I try to connect to a friend. The idea is that my friend will be the server and I will be the client. Then, I woluld connect to his computer to help him because he is a rookie... We have installed the software on his computer too. I've opened in his router the needed ports: 5900 and 5901 TCP for the connection, and 5800 and 5801 for the java viewer. Then he launches the Server on his computer and waits. On the other side, i have opened the ports in my router. I've opened port 5500 to try the listening client, to open the conecction from his side. We can't communicate. The program tries to connect but don't get it. Then I've tried another thing. I have 2 computers with local IP's 192.168.1.2 (client) and 192.168.1.3 (server). If I try to connect directly using the local Ip's, all is ok. Then I've configured muy router in the following way: I open the 5500 port for 192.168.1.2 (client) and 5800,5801,5900 and 5901 ports for 192.168.1.3 (server). Then, if you come outside the LAN, when you try the routers IP (dinamic, AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD) with port 5500, the router will redirect the packet to 192.168.1.2 (client) and when receive packets with the others ports it will redirect the packets to 192.168.1.3 (server). Then, I try to conect the client with AAA.BBB.CCC.DDD (my router's address). The packet must reach the router, then the router would redirect the packet to 192.168.1.3 (beacuse the port is 5900), and connect, but the connection do not establish. Error: failed to connect: Connection refused (10061) What does this means? What can I do to get the connectisn with my friend? Thanks for the aswers. Regards. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [email protected] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
