Hello James,

the registry key DisableOptions is set to zero as you described

In the documentation I found a description for the key Impersonate, which I
would gess is per default internally set to 0. But to ensure it, I added
this key manually to the registry. As mentioned, it didn't change anything.

Since RealVNC is used on an XP Embedded environment and the XP Shell was
replaced by our own to restrict modification, there is no program group to
access. The Options window is opened by clicking on a button in the
application which sends a message to the vnc server. On the development
environment that worked fine but unfortunately not on the target. I will try
tomorrow to run vncconfig with ther service option. Thanks for that hint.

Regards,

Karim

Karim,

The registry key under which to ensure that DisableOptions is set to zero
is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\RealVNC\WinVNC4

There is no such setting as "Impersonate".

Note that you can run VNC Server Configuration from the RealVNC program
group, or by running "vncconfig -service" directly.

Regards,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
