_FontTransSocketINETConnect: Can't connect: errno = 146
failed to set default font path 'tcp/localhost:7100'
Fatal server error:
Have you definitely got a font server running on port 7100? Try taking
this off, unless you *need* it.
/usr/openwin/bin/xrdb: No such file or directory
/usr/openwin/bin/xrdb: can't open file '/home/gunselmg/.Xresources'
Do either of them exist? If they do, do they have suitable permissions
(world readable might be good). What about the directory they are in?
BTW you are running a very old version (both of VNC in general and
tightVNC server) - I use the binaries from RealVNC on Solaris 8 & 9
(Blade 1500s) and they work fine.
Alasdair
Help. I've been working on this off and on for several weeks and now
I'm down to the wire and need to make it work ...
I'm trying to get tightVNC server ( 1.2.8,REV=2003.04.27 from
BlastWave) running on a test server (V490 - Solaris 9). Opening the
vncviewer (RealVNC 4.1.1.0 on Windows XP) gets error - "The Connection
Closed Unexpectedly Do you wish to attempt to reconnect to
localhost:1?".
Here's the server side log file:
robin ~ gunselmg $cat .vnc/robin\:1.log
