Hi,

I am trying to set up a system for supporting a client who has a firewall that wil not accept incoming connections.

So, from one of the client's pc's I set up an SSH tunnel back to my home Linux server. I can VNC now from the client pc to a windows box on my home network using "localhost" as the destination IP address. However I need to go the other way...

The same client PC is also running a VNC server, so I run a listening viewer on the same windows box on my home network. I choose "Add new client" on the client pc and add "localhost" as the address, and... nothing happens on my home PC.

So, I test my home pc by using a listening viewer on my home pc, and running a vnc server on my laptop. This works fine...

Sorry if this a bit confusing...

Things I know:-

The SSH tunnel works fine, as I can VNC from client to home
VNC listening viewer works fine, as tested on 2 machines on my home LAN
VNC listening viewer doesn't work over the SSH tunnel...

Any ideas much appreciated...

Rauf
