Oh, I didn't know that the 4.1.9 version is out.

But I'll try that tomorrow.

Greetings,
Felix

Felix,

Can you try upgrading to VNC Enterprise Edition 4.1.9 and checking whether
you still see the problem?

Subject: Re: color problems in sun solaris

This was the first I was thinking of.
The colour level is at depth 24. But I tested
other configurations as well.

The only reason I can imagine is that some solaris
configurations are going crazy, but I found no
files where nedit settings are made.
And the fascinating thing about it is:
1. This happens only with nedit
2. It happens only via VNC.

I forgot to post the VNC version I'm using.
I'm using RealVNC Enterprise Server 4.1.8.
They are fresh installed on the solaris systems.
The version used before was 3.3.6, and some users
who used sessions to this machine reported, that it
worked well with the old version.

Greetings,
Felix

Felix,

Is your VNC desktop depth 16, by any chance?

Subject: color problems in sun solaris

Hello,

I have some problems with nedit running under solaris, and this only in vnc
sessions.

The color scheme of the editor is set to some strange green and red colors when it is running under vnc. From local login, there is no problem. I also use citrix metaframe for this machine, which allows remote sessions too,
and there, everything is normal.

I know that it's not very nice, but i attached a little screenshot of it, so
that you
can see what happens (55K).
There you can see another application running with the same graphic library,
where
the colors are normal.

Does anybody know where these strange colors can come from?

Thanks in advance,
Felix Steffenhagen
