Ah, I see ... it's not the range itself, it's the mask. Same as for 'real'
applications. :)

Okay, one step forward. XP connects to 98SE. 98SE to XP is now connection
refused 10061.

I've got the direction I need for today, anyway, and will pursue the rest
on my own for now.
