I am using the servers IP, I also tried the servers name..
I can connect to this server both by name and by IP when I am physically on
the network, when I connect via VPN I can get to all my servers and PC
except
this one box (which is also the VPN server that authenticates me). So for
now
I connect via VPN and then VNC to my PC at work, and VNC from my PC at
work to the server. There must be something preventing the VPN server
to allow VNC sessions directly. I am getting a standard IP Address (same
class
as the server and my pc). Joe
Joe,
Check which IP address you are using when connecting VNC Viewer to that
machine from within its LAN, and from across the VPN. When connected via
VPN, you'll need to use the server's LAN IP address, rather than the public
IP address you used to make the VPN connection.
Cheers,
Wez
