Subject: Re: 'No matching security types' error when connecting VNC, Viewer
4.1.1 to OSXvnc

Zipdog:

What is actually happening is that you are NOT connecting to OSXvnc but
are connected to the built in Apple Remote Desktop server which also
runs on port 5900. OSXvnc does not have any proprietary authentication
or encryption mechanisms.

The easiest resolution is to turn off ARD which can be done under System
Preferences -> Sharing -> Services.

Feel free to copy that message to any places on the web you previously
looked for an answer but didn't get one. OSXvnc isn't a Real VNC
supported product so it's best to use the contact methods recommended in
the FAQ.
