Patrick:
What is actually happening is that you are NOT connecting to OSXvnc but
are connected to the built in Apple Remote Desktop server which also
runs on port 5900. OSXvnc does not have any proprietary authentication
or encryption mechanisms.
The easiest resolution is to turn off ARD which can be done under System
Preferences -> Sharing -> Services.

and then I clicked on "download from sourcedorge"
bellow:
OSXvnc is a working, full-featured VNC server for Mac
OS X. OSXvnc delivers a live view of the screen of a
Mac OS X system to any VNC client, and optionally
enables the client to remotely control the mouse and
keyboard of that Mac OS X system. Download from
sourceforge
And finally I downloaded from the oppened page
http://sourceforge.net/projects/osxvnc/
