Hi James,

The wireless card comes with a software to display and
configure the available networks, one of the tabs of
this software shows how the wireless card is working;
it contain a graph which show the usage of the
wireless connection and next to it there are some cell
showing the number of packets sent and received. While
the number of packets received moves according to the
Ping sent by the server (the iMac I am trying to
connect to) the number of packets sent remain to 0,
sometime 1 or 2. When the wi-fi starts to work
properly, the number of packets sent moves similarly
to the number of packets received.

The server is running on OX Tiger while the client
runs on Win98SE, the ping are sent by the network
utility of the server to the client.

The routing table should be fine, I will try to double
check it once I get back home (I am at work now).

Thank you very much for your assistance and if this
give you some other tips about what the problem is
please do not hesitate to let me know.

Kind regards,

Francesco
