First off, from the server machine, brows to http://www.gotomyvnc.com and
have it scan for listening servers. If it finds one, you know the cable
company isn't blocking. However, I suspect that maybe the cable company is
blocking VNC under the "no servers" policy that many/most cable/dsl
companies seem to have.

 I am having trouble accessing a PC over internet using vnc. I have a PC
at home runnning windows 2000 Pro and a pc at office running the same os.
i have a cable modem at home for internet connection.
        I installed vnc server at home, and used vnc viewer at office to
connect to my home pc using the IP that server gave me but no success. Is
there anyother configuration that is required?

I also have mcafee firewall installed at home but i disabled it and still
no success.
Please help.
