Can you explain what you mean by "my screen is unresponsive"?  VNC Viewer
for UNIX is just a normal X application, and it blocking while connecting
shouldn't affect your X server's operation.

To modify the TCP connection timeout for your system, please consult the
Solaris documentation.  I wouldn't recommend changing it.
