Carl,

We don't currently provide a VNC Server for Mac OS X (although we do have
one in development), so I assume you're using a third-party VNC-based server
such as Mac OS X.  Although VNC 4 will handle languages that use the
ISO-Latin-1 character set, it's quite likely that your third-party Mac
server does not.
