I use OpenSSH, and it works great. You have to log into ssh each time, but once the tunnel is set up everything is secured. I use Linux/GNU but you can get a version of OpenSSH for windows if you want. You'll need the sshd server and a client - the best one I've used for windows is PuTTY. -- Infinite complexity begets infinite beauty.
