I had the same error and it turned out to be the XP firewall, make sure you open the ports 5900 and 5800 for display 0 on the firewall and on the router if you are using one.

I know I'm new to this, but I cannot get connected. I keep getting the above error message. I've reviewed the website, searched the message list, and searched the WWW for help. I cannot get past this message!! I'm about to give up and go to another product. Although I'm new to this type of product, I consider myself to be pretty computer literate. Any help out there?
