Felix, The software version will be displayed in the About box of the viewer, or in the logfile of the server. Both of the versions you referred to earlier are from projects based on our old VNC 3.3 system. The latest VNC Free Edition release is 4.1.1, and is available from http://www.realvnc.com/download.html.
