I need to access a computer that is behind a adsl modem router.

The router is configured to serve ip addresses ( DHCP ) and I do not
have access to change it's setup. I can not add a routing to re direct
port 5900 to point to the computer I want to connect to.

So the ip address on the LAN of the computer I wish to connect to will
change from time to time. The ip address of the ADSL modem will also
change from time to time too when the isp changes it.

The computer does have internet access for email and web browsing.

I am assuming that I need to find a way to have a server on that
computer send out a packet almost as if it were a web browser to
somewhere where ??? and then make use of that routing to get the
information back in.

I have a linux box on the net with a fixed ip address which could be the
point that that remote pc talks to. That Linux box would then have to
have a way of passing the info on to the evental vnc client running on
my windows lap top. Two hops.

Can anyone help with suggestions.

Thanks, Frank
