Hi,

Here's a start to the service that I described:

http://vnccasts.com/

You can try creating your own VNCCasts by clicking on "My VNCCasts"
and then "create vnccast". Think of your VNCCasts as specialized TV
channels with multiple live broadcasts on some topic.

Once you create your VNCCast, you could then try going live by
clicking "broadcast live". Your server must already be running with
no password for view mode.

To view the broadcast, click on "view" and leave the password blank.
(Unfortunately this does not work with the tight vnc viewer but it
does work with the standard vnc viewer.) Of course, anyone will be
able to view your broadcast as well, so make sure you don't show any
private data on your screen while your server is broadcasting.

Note that the server you supply will be seen by others. You could of
course delete your VNCCast if you don't want your server visible for
long.

I hope to finish a beta quality prototype by the end of April. I
would appreciate your feedback and help with testing. I will be
making frequent postings to this google group to discuss issues,
announce new features, etc:

http://groups.google.com/group/VNCCasts

I would welcome help on building this, perhaps even a collaboration to
improve VNC technologies for this purpose.

Amir
