I have WinVNC loaded on two remote machines to which I have given 7 of us permission to connect. I controlled that via an access-list on the router to which the machines connect. I have the same access list applied to both connections.
All of us are running the same versino of VNC 3.3.3 R7 We connect to the two remote terminals using the IP address. 5 of us can connect to both machines without any problems. 1 person can connect to one of the remote machines but not the second. 1 person cannot connect to either. This is not a permission problem though. Both the people having problems can successfully ping both machines. When the run the viewer they get the VNC Authentication box and can successfully log on. The main screen will open and state "Please wait - initial screen is loading" That's it. The screen never loads for them. As I said, before, this happens for one of them with only one of the remote machines. He can successfully connect to the other remote machine. It happens for our other guy on both machines. I have had them try to connect directly to the port and checked settings. They appear to be the same for their machines as the rest of ours.
